The user flow within this architecture is structured to accommodate a diverse set of actors and systems, each contributing to the overall carbon management and eco-labelling process:
Actors:
- Existing User:This user, often an ESG manager, represents a company responsible for carbon management. They are already part of the system.
- New User (Client):External representatives of client companies invited by existing users to participate in carbon footprint management.
- New User (Supplier):External representatives of supplier companies invited by existing users to partake in carbon footprint management.
- Reader:External entities such as government organizations, validators, or other applications access reported data through an API.
Systems:
- Blockchain DTB:An external blockchain system designed for secure data storage, including eco-labels (NFTs), company emission reports (NFTs), ESG reports, and joint-emission contracts using smart contracts.
- Carbon Calculation Launchpad:A module for calculating company-level emissions, offering a user-friendly approach to carbon accounting. It features AI-based chat advisors, step-by-step guidance, and onboarding assistance.
- Convertors (Higg):Modules and converters are designed to handle different frameworks and protocols, such as the Higg index in the textile industry and conversions between GHG protocol and ISO 14064.
- Data Storage (AWS):External cloud-based data storage for the entire application.
- Global Disclosure Portal:A web portal for presenting emission reports and eco-labels. It offers transparency, credibility, and traceability with adjustable access features.
- Knowledge Portal:A publicly accessible web portal with guides, articles, and resources to aid in understanding carbon management issues. It also provides resources for an AI guide in the KYE dashboard.
- KYE Dashboard (Know Your Emissions):An innovative process in carbon management, offering modules for understanding scopes, knowing suppliers, assessing product emissions, reporting and disclosing, and building reduction plans. This dashboard serves as a centralized hub for accessing all relevant modules.
- Product Emissions Assessment:A module for calculating product-level emissions and creating eco-labels using NFT technology, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Production Add-On:A module for detailed production descriptions, including job and machine data, to understand on-site emissions and inform data-based investments.
- Reduction Intelligence:A module with an accessible marketplace offering proven solutions to reduce and offset company carbon emissions, using simulations and modelling with AI modules.
- Supplier On-Ramp:A module for supplier management and onboarding, enabling the separation of scope 3 emissions and establishing transparent, auditable smart contracts with partners.
- Joint Emissions Management:An application within the Supplier On-Ramp module, facilitating collaborative emissions management.
The user flow within this architecture aims to streamline the process of managing carbon footprints, enhance transparency, and facilitate collaboration between existing users, clients, suppliers, and external stakeholders like readers. It leverages various modules and external systems to provide a comprehensive approach to carbon management, reduction, and eco-labelling, offering a unified platform for all participants.
